My book is here! It’s very close to be in Final Form, with a current prototype and will be ready shortly. It’s the first of several books, and it features some of my poetry and lyrics through the years. The working title is named after one of my poems, “Detroit Maiden Energy (“street princess”). And I’m happily surprised and grateful to be receiving such nice early reviews. My publisher, Aquarius Press/Aux Media, and I are excited and I’ll be doing several book signings/readings this Fall into November at River’s Edge Gallery and Book Beat with other dates soon. Details on links to buy the book on my website, Aquarius Press and on Amazon to be announced shortly. It’s been a long time coming, and while we couldn’t fit all of my lyrics and poetry in one book, we’re also doing a digital exhibition of some awesome posters and photos from my many years or lifetime of music…

Also! Coming right up, it’s an honor to be included in PBS’ riveting new film “ Those on the Front Lines of Cancer.” The premiere of the movie is at the Emagine Theatre Royal Oak, Wednesday evening, October 2nd at 6:30 pm. It will also be on PBS WTVS-TV in October. Thanks again for including a bit of my story, Visionalist Entertainment. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/those-on-the-front-lines-of-cancer-tickets-71799108065 https://www.eventbrite.com/e/those-on-the-front-lines-of-cancer-tickets-71799108065

And also the first week of October! My marvelous guitarist and husband Scott Dailey and I will be performing a new song I wrote for The Pink Fund at “Dancing with the Survivors” on Friday night, October 4th at 6:30 pm in Southfield, Michigan at the Silver Garden Center. Very excited to be a part of this night! The Pink Fund is an amazing organization, and what a night coming up – thanks to The Detroit News for the nice write up, too. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/entertainment/music/2019/09/27/artist-spotlight-carolyn-striho/2386777001/ With more details here: https://www.detroitnews.com/story/entertainment/music/2019/09/27/artist-spotlight-carolyn-striho/2386777001/https://www.pinkfund.org/2019/09/10/carolyn-striho-to-headline-dancing-with-the-survivors-this-year/

There are more music dates coming up and we’re back to recording soon. But you know, it’s been a heck of a year, well, a few years, well, a decade, and we’re glad to still be making music, writing, creating and just listening to so many wonderful bands out there. There’s great new and old music, books, art, and always, hope. After being a guest of Patti Smith and her band in Royal Oak, Michigan this month, it’s a reminder to stay alert and informed and register to vote. To our young people, People Have The Power!

Thank you for listening and reading,
Love, xoxo
