We’ve been all over this year from Detroit down to St. Petersburg and Treasure Island in Florida, and back in Michigan from Traverse City to Grand Rapids to Ann Arbor and back up near Big Rapids and Cadillac, Michigan. I’ve been teaching down here every day and working on new poetry and compiling some really cool stories of my music life. It’s a lot to work on a new book, but I found even more poetry from many years. This could be an adventure and I hope I get there with the new book. Scott has been undergoing treatments but his health is stabilized even with these strong treatments. We are grateful and hope things continue to improve. He will also join me on the new shows this month. He is hoping to finish some new songs as well.
So here we are with new June shows with the full band too!

What a month April turned out to be – so wonderful! Scott Dailey and I had a sold out show at Trinity House Theatre with Mary McGuire, Laura Rain and George Friend on April 19th in Livonia, Michigan. Andthere are some new shows to talk about for June in the next blog, both in northern Michigan and down here in Detroit. Stay tuned – these are some nice ones coming up in June at the Nor-East’r Music Festival and in Detroit at the Cadieux Cafe We’ve had good airplay in Detroit and through Michigan with “14 Miles of Bad Road” and hoping to continue it with the new “Blue Ridiculous Love.” Thank you.
And a new Detroit Energy Asylum CD is on its way. Detroit Energy Asylum was a collective of marvelous Detroit musicians. While I fronted the band, wrote most of the songs, and sang and played keyboards and guitar, we were a true force of nature onstage together as a unit and in the studio, if I can say so myself (thank you!) DEA was something to see and hear. So stay tuned for an update on this album from Orchide Records Detroit and Freddie Brooks. It sounds great and features David McMurray, Luis Resto and much more.
There is more to say, but alas, time is flying, I’m teaching and singing, and Scott and I are so honored to have so many special new songs and opportunities. Saluting the Universe and praying for peace xo
