It’s finally on its way! The new book, Detroit (Street Princess) will be released in late September with a soft opening, to some really nice book signings coming up in Detroit, Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor, Michigan. Grateful for the many great remarks on the book already – wow. Aquarius Press and I will also have a pre-ordering link on Amazon if you’d like to get an advance copy. More details coming, with links and more, and the first signings are here: September 28, 2019 at the Made in Michigan Festival in Allen Park, Michigan, then we’re moving on to other great places! We’re also performing this month the weekend of September 20th to September 22nd at Earthwork Harvest Gathering in Lake City, Michigan. This is one of the best festivals in northern and southern Michigan – in the region, really – and we’re honored to be back! we’ll be playing with the excellent Erin Zindle this year on several violin numbers on our set, and Carolyn Striho Group hits at 2 pm on the Cedar Stage, Saturday September 21st, 2019. What a month July was! From 2 nights performing for a third time with Don Was and Don’s All Star Revue at the Michigan Theatre in Jackson, Michigan, and at the DIA Film Theatre in the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) for The Concert of Colors, thank you! All the artists celebrating Motown’s 60th Anniversary together were excellent. We also had a Poets & Pies show with poets from Detroit and San Francisco in St. Clair Shores – nice crowd, pie, words and music.
Next! On Saturday evening, August 24th, we’ll be at The Focus Hope Photography Festival at Focus Hope Detroit. We’ll be performing at 6:00 pm, and the Festival runs from 2 pm to 9 pm with Detroit Photographers and photography, music and food trucks. Free admission!
