Thank you to “Blues U.K.” and Tony Corner in England for the airplay this month! We’re thrilled to have more airplay with “14 Miles of Bad Road’ being heard in the U.K, with Tony’s German station/show next!
One of our brand songs released this year, “I Will Rise,” has also made it to a new CD collection of songs! Thank you to Erik and Hudson Harding Music in Philadelphia for choosing this song for the new compilation/November/December collection. There’s some wonderful songs by our friends The Lucky Nows, The Rough and Tumble and Mike Ward, and more! Yes, it’s in Folk, which is one of our many genres of writing ) There’s a lot of great artists on the album and we’re in good company on “Folk Now.” https://www.facebook.com/hudsonharding
While I’m still down with my broken arm, my husband/guitarist Scott has had a tremendous health challenge. He is also hoping to be back performing with me next year. We have been through too much to explain on a blog and may start a Substack soon. And I hope to be back to teaching soon, too. The broken arm is more in my shoulder so it takes even longer to heal.
In the meantime, I am working on new poetry, compiling already-written poetry, and a hint at an autobiography for my next poetry book. I hope that makes sense, but safe to say there is another poetry book coming out with a special story or two as well in the book – so stay tuned.
I have rescheduled shows for 2025 and we are going to release a new album of material from this year with new songs. New dates are coming up on the website, and at Songkick, Bands in Town and Reverbnation. Excited to be back with some new Book Events for my prio book, “Detroit (Maiden Energy)” and also, our new music gigs
Thank you for listening and the support. Happy December health and hope,
We’re back with more new music and live shows – This Friday, April 19th at 8 pm, we’re be performing at the charming Trinity House Theatre in Livonia, Michigan, 15 minutes from Detroit, with ultra-talented fabulous artists Mary McGuire, Laura Rain & George Friend, and me and Scott Dailey – this is a big night! We are performing a singer/songwriter rave up showcase, together and separately – so you’ll have to be there to see it in person! Details and a few tickets remaining at https://www.trinityhousetheatre.org/events/

Scott Dailey and I are also debuting another fresh, brand new song on Friday April 26th on all digital platforms with another new lyric/imagery YouTube video – stay tuned for “Blue Ridiculous Love!” It’s a hot one, also recorded at Inner Door Music and Pearl Sounds Canton, Michigan. The song and video are all ready shortly with even more new music coming.
And finally, there is a new release retrospective from Detroit Energy Asylum on Orchide Records Detroit, too, featuring many song I wrote or co-wrote and sang – some never before released! It features me on vocals/guitar/keys with Dave McMurray, Randy Jacobs, Luis Resto and many more called “Landslide of Life” – more soon on that.
And if you are still reading, Scott and I are debuting a new CD/album with many of the songs we are now releasing. Whew – a big year of new music. Thanks for listening, sharing and downloading and purchasing “14 Miles of Bad Road” released last month, we’re grateful. Available on Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon and Bandcamp and of course, right here to watch/listen on YouTube:
“14 Miles of Bad Road” is a bad ass rock and roll story that builds on guitar with a sneaky organ and and a bluesy vibe. We’ve got a counterpoint singing in the chorus and a wild fuzz guitar solo circling a wishful reminiscing and lost hope. Check it right here!
With Scott Dailey on guitar, vocals and bass, Lauren Johnson on drums, and me on vocals and keyboards, “14 Miles of Bad Road” was recorded at Inner Door Music and Pearl Sound Studio, mixed by Scott Dailey and Carolyn Striho and mastered at Third Man Records Cass Corridor/Detroit. And more releases coming in April, May and June culminating in a new album this year. Join us with a bigger bog update and more treats soon – new shows, and new video, too. Many thanks for listening – Happy Spring
