What a great night at Eastern Market After Dark in September! Our merch table was busy with so many guests/attendees coming over! Thanks for the purchases of our books and music in Eastern Market! We were at the Aquarius Press table, and it was packed throughout the sheds, but also outside. Loved it, thank you!
There’s some new shows coming up, and they are really special/eclectic and new. But first, a note I’m working on another book and it’s finally taking shape. It is like a Volume II, leading from Detroit (Maiden Energy) and will feature some poems, lyrics and writings from growing up in Detroit but also brand new poems. But it also includes some short passages about live shows and more, with people you may have seen onstage. While not a full on memoir, it gives hints at some of the wild stage nights and days as a Detroit (female) musician. It may also include several photos.
My guitarist/husband Scott Dailey may be back joining me at a later show this year, but he is in a new cancer treatment again. It takes a lot or energy for him. He is a trooper. I remember my breast cancer, and it’s been 13 years, and I’m hopeful.
I’ll be appearing on NPR WDET-FM 101.9 on Ann Delisi’s Essential Music on Saturday October 3rd at 1:30 pm EST, with Heather Buchanan of Aquarius Press. Listen in if you’re able to stream the show or in Detroit/Metro Detroit. Ann is fabulous and so is her show!
