Also, the Detroit Music Awards  2012 nominations are about to begin.  We’ve had a cool run with the DMAs – 30 + nominations in the past several years and some nice wins, appreciate all the kindness and love from fans…don’t forget to encore nominate and vote this year – there’s great music here and everywhere in Metro Detroit.

HOME FROM “ENCHANTE” TOUR OF EUROPE!

The Carolyn Striho Group recently returned from another exciting European tour, this time headlining the “Donne in Jazz” festival in Rome, where they shared the bill with other female singer/songwriters from Turkey, Italy, and elsewhere in Europe. They were so well-received that they’ve been invited back to perform next summer at an even bigger festival! Here is a snippet from an Italian media outlet:

Don Was Detroit All-Star Revue from Concert of Colors NOW on My Damn Channel!!

Back in July, Carolyn and band had a blast as one of the featured acts in the Don Was Detroit All-Star Revue at the Concert of Colors in Detroit. It took some time to edit, but it was well worth it — their performance of “Enchante” with Don Was on stand-up bass is finally up on Don Was’ section on My Damn Channel.com!


NEW MUSIC PUBLISHING DEAL!

Carolyn recently signed a deal with music publishing company North Star Media, based in Detroit and Los Angeles. North Star specializes in placement of music in films, television series, commercials and various other media outlets, on behalf of up-and-coming indie artists and more well-established acts. Carolyn joins the roster with the likes of The Go and Bruce Hornsby. You can view her artist profile here.  So, what does this mean? It means you literally NEVER KNOW where you’ll be hearing Carolyn Striho Group tunes next! You might be surprised, but we’ll try to give you a head’s up if/when we can!

     Also back in the USA are shows at Mario’s Italian Grille with the Detroit Daggers on Saturday, November 12th, then onto December dates back at Dylan’s Raw Bar – with some surprise guests Saturday, December 3rd – and onto the cozy Mt. Chalet in Royal Oak, Michigan on Saturday night, December 17th -holiday spirit rock up a groove! 
     We also received some great news with a recent music placement signing – and have written new material and a combination of a new sound for a new record – then there’s a really neat video of us onstage with renowned producer and bassist Don Was and band doing “Enchante” from Detroit’s Concert of Colors in July – look for it soon! …blessings for a great Thanksgiving and hope to see you out here soon. x
